Story Shyft - Why Story Shyft_edited_edi
  • What’s interactive literature design?
We conceptualise and create experiences and products that let audiences immerse themselves in books. Folks interact with the story, the story world or the characters. Each book project is unique and may involve us designing and producing an exhibition of visual art or craft inspired by the book, turning the dialogue into a live performance or an animated one, or even putting the character’s choices into your hands in a digital game.
  • Do you publish books?
We are not a book publisher we work with them and authors to ‘go beyond the book’ and create impactful interactive experiences and products based on the narratives in the books.
  • Can I buy physical books?
Yes for the 2 comic books we’re associated with (De Hard Ride and The Philosophy & Opinions of The $2 Philosopher) you can purchase from us or advertised retail outlets such as Black Rock Books (who also ship to overseas customers), The Barbados Museum Gift Shop, The Animespot in Bridgetown, and The UWI Bookshop.
  • Will you sell my books for me?
No, unless you mean sell people on how fantastic your book is with the interactive product or experience we create with you.
  • Will you manage my event? Yes (It depends)
If an event or experience is what we’ve created with you from your book then yes we can produce and manage it. We are not event planners that you bring your event to.
  • How do I work with you?
Publishers and authors can contact us via our contact form for a free consultation to see whether we’re a good fit. We love our authors and the worlds they create, and work with them on projects to create wonderful new gateways into their work for wider audiences and their loyal readers. Our e-mail is reachus@storyshyft.com.
